Patdek attended a Fish & Richardson Meetup event to showcase 15 startups in the DC area. It's part of their IP Roundtable sessions that they regularly run in the DC area. We really appreciated the opportunity to explain what we do and meet a diverse group of people.

D’USSÉ was a sponsor and they had some interesting drinks on the menu featuring their cognac. Adding a touch of class to the event.

So why did we go? The field of companies ranged from mobile phone apps to consultants. That's not quite "us." We went because, well, Fish & Richardson has a bunch of people that work every day on patent issues - that's our target market.

An opportunity to talk with people in our target market, and also a chance to talk with people that are not in the legal field? Pretty easy choice. Let's not lose sight of the opportunity.

We went to make connections with potential customers (a law firm) to explain how we can help them do their jobs even better. But we talked to a lot of different people, with different ideas, and got their feedback too. Win-win for us. I would do it again tomorrow.

All that being said, hats off to Emma and Phyllis at F&R. Everything ran smooth so we could set up and get ready to meet everyone. Fantastic, well-run meetup - thanks again from the Patdek team. We'll be attending the IP Roundtable more regularly in the future because they are building a meaningful community that should be supported.
